Our Newsletter
January, 2012
Dear Ministry Partners, January, 2012 Blessed New Year to you! We look
forward to an exciting 2012, in ministry. The
December 17, 2011 Christmas Celebration was fantastic! The Christmas
lesson is amazing and timeless. The
turkey dinner provided by the folks at Christ the King Lutheran Church
and Thrivent was deeeelicious. The kids love turkey and gravy over
mashed potatoes! The gift bags were heavy with a new jacket, a toy, a
Bible, (thanks to you for your monetary donations), a filled stocking
(thanks to the folks at First Christian Church of Seminole), three bean
bags (made by the Circle of Friends at Christ the King), and a hand
crocheted blanket (made by a lady at Christ the King). Each child
received a gift bag when we took them home on the COC buses. Thank you
for your generosity and for helping to make Christmas special for over
75 kids! Quilter's
Luncheon & Auction Fundraiser: This event will be held on February
18, 2012, instead of the usual fall date. The hostesses of this event,
Hidden Stitches Applique Group, mad e
this change to include the many snow birds who want to attend. This
event will be our 10th annual event. Mark you calendar! Luncheon tickets
are $15.00 each. Call Brenda for tickets at 727-385-1895. The financial
picture at COC is still of concern but we know that our God will supply
all our needs according to His riches in glory. Please help to make this
outreach happen. Thank you to the many folks that have sent in gifts! No
gift is too small. Continue to pray for the center, our finances, the
children and families, Christ the King Lutheran Church, staff and for
these folks with health concerns: Bernice, Betty, Jack, Jean, Shannon,
Sue, Bill, Eileen, Elizabeth, Richard, Marilyn, Ida, Hank, Phyllis,
Nelle, Dave, Paul, Karen, Diane, and Elise.
Blessed in His service, John & Brenda Grampsas
